I made the official call today to Dr. Scheid's office to get my LPAO scheduled. I should be getting a call by the end of this week or beginning of next week with the official date. SCARY! It's scary, but I am glad that I will finally be getting my pain taken care of. I have had to use pain medication more often than I really wanted to during the last 2 weeks. I had several long days at school where I was walking and standing too much. Then we went on vacation to Gatlinburg which involved a long, painful car ride and lots of walking around town. Everyday the pain is a little different, but I know it is all because of my hips. I am getting a little worried that I will have to do something about my right hip in the future. Sometimes I have more pain in that hip than the left one, but I really don't want to think about that right now. Hopefully my hips can last these last 2 months of teaching and testing.

Sami,
I am so glad that you are getting into the next steps of the surgery/recovery process. I just officially set my date for surgery as well. This will be my 5th hip surgery. I am concerned for you though because recent girls have had poor results with Dr. Scheid (Megan Hershey had a PAO 6 months ago and it is being re-done by Dr. Clohisy). I just want what is best for you and do not want anyone else to go through what I have. I hope everything works out wonderfully!
